This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") outlines prohibited uses of the dataPdf service ("we," "our," or "us"). By using dataPdf, you agree to comply with this policy.
2. Prohibited Uses
2.1 Illegal Content
Uploading, processing, or extracting data from documents that violate any applicable laws, regulations, or legal obligations. This includes but is not limited to:
- Documents containing illegal content
- Stolen or unauthorized documents
- Documents facilitating illegal activities
2.2 Malware and Harmful Content
Using the Service to distribute, create, or process:
- Viruses, worms, trojans, or other malicious software
- Phishing materials or deceptive content
- Ransomware or other harmful code
- Content designed to damage or disrupt systems
2.3 Copyright and Intellectual Property Infringement
Processing documents you do not have the right to use, including:
- Copyrighted materials without permission
- Trade secrets or confidential information
- Documents subject to NDAs without authorization
- Content that infringes on third-party IP rights
2.4 Personal Data and Privacy Violations
Processing documents containing personal data in violation of:
- GDPR, CCPA, or other data protection laws
- Documents with personally identifiable information (PII)
- Unauthorized medical or financial records
- Content that violates others' privacy rights
2.5 Abuse and Harmful Conduct
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to systems
- Engaging in activities that disrupt or degrade the Service
- Using automated tools to overwhelm or probe the system
- Harassment, hate speech, or discriminatory content
- Violence, threats, or incitement to harm
2.6 Financial and Account Abuse
- Creating multiple accounts to abuse free tiers
- Fraudulent payment activities
- Reselling the Service without authorization
- Using the Service to generate revenue without permission
3. Resource Limits
To ensure fair usage, we impose the following limits:
- File size: Maximum 20 MB per PDF
- Pages: Maximum 100 pages per document
- Free tier: Limited daily conversions (see pricing page)
- Rate limits: API requests may be rate-limited to prevent abuse
We reserve the right to adjust limits or charge for excessive usage at our discretion.
4. Security Requirements
You must:
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Not share account access with unauthorized users
- Report any security vulnerabilities promptly
- Comply with our authentication and access requirements
5. Enforcement
5.1 Monitoring
We monitor usage patterns to detect violations. This includes automated analysis of uploaded content and behavioral monitoring.
5.2 Violation Consequences
Violations may result in:
- Warning: First-time or minor violations may receive a warning
- Content Removal: Removal of violating content
- Suspension: Temporary suspension of account or features
- Termination: Permanent termination for severe or repeated violations
- Legal Action: Pursuit of damages or criminal prosecution when warranted
6. Reporting Abuse
If you become aware of any violation of this policy or suspicious activity, report it immediately:

Include as much detail as possible: document description, date/time, account involved, and nature of the violation.
7. Liability
dataPdf is not liable for any content uploaded or processed in violation of this policy. Users bear full responsibility for their use of the Service.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or website notice. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any updates.
